The School of Management and Governance is one of the six schools of the University of Twente. Our school provides educational programmes and carries out research in the areas of Business Administration, Public Administration, the Health Care Sciences and Industrial Engineering and Management.
The University of Twente (UT) is one of the smaller universities in the Netherlands with 9,900 students and 3,240 full-time employees. Education at the UT is characterised by our small-scale and informality. In practice, this means we often work in small groups, and that barriers between students and staff are low. At the same time, the UT is the only Dutch university that has a real campus, and we enjoy a level of facilities that many larger universities would be jealous of.
Practical applicability is the 'red thread' that runs through the educational and research activities at our university. And we do not leave application to others. The UT is not called 'the entrepreneurial university' for nothing. Our campus is a hothouse for 'spin-offs'; numerous companies and small businesses that have been set up partly by students, and with the support of our university. The University of Twente works with all kinds of social partners, from companies to governments.
