Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS)

Jurgen Enders Research Group Chair

The Centre for Higher Education Policy Studies contributes to the advancement of studies in higher education and to the progress in theoretical basis that underpins the study's disciplines. We do this by developing a better understanding of the institutional, national and international issues relevant to higher education. CHEPS realises these goals by carrying out fundamental and applied research, and through educational, training and consultancy activities, that reveal the needs of parties involved in the development of higher education. CHEPS strives to conduct research and consulting activities that are relevant for social needs and issues.

CHEPS combines practical advice with fundamental research to address the essential problems in the continually changing world of policy-making in higher education. The following characteristics best describe the CHEPS approach: interdisciplinary perspectives, approaching higher education from different levels, broad and comparative research interests, integration of research with education and training and international networking.
