The Department of Finance & Accounting focuses on topics in management accounting, corporate finance and risk management, and public management. Techniques from business economics, operations research and economics of the public sector are employed. Recent research includes the valuation and financing of business investments in research and development, risk management of financial institutions, performance management in the public and private sector, budgetary policy of central government and public-private partnerships.
